How To Help
Volunteer
Because FUR is an entirely non-profit organization, we depend on volunteers to help make a difference. We are always in need of adult volunteers to help with caretaking, transportation, adoption events, and fundraisers. Rabbit handling experience is helpful but not required. If you are interested please contact us online or call the FUR Hotline at 916-710-0105.
Donations and Wish List
Donations to the FUR program are always appreciated. FUR is dependent upon generous donations from the public. Contributions are used for spaying and neutering, medical care, foster care expenses, printing of educational material, and other supplies as needed.

Support those who support FUR
Looking for a unique and fun gift for a friend, family member or yourself? Handcrafted is very IN! Lisa Johnson, FUR volunteer and mom of two FUR rabbits, features handcrafted items on her Etsy site - Johnsonfamilyzoo. This includes reusable produce bags, baby and children’s gifts (including Boo-Boo Bunnies), aprons, jewelry, and much more! Many of these goodies are bunny themed! All items are cruelty free and vegan, which means no animals were harmed in the making of products and goods do not contain any animal parts, ingredients or by products. A portion of all sales will be donated to FUR.
Ann Ranlett is an award-winning artist & illustrator specializing in pet & animal art and nature illustrations. While you're browsing the site, please stop by the web store where you'll find cards, prints and more featuring her work. Ann has painted portraits of Snoopy a rabbit that was rescued by FUR. Snoopy was an older bunny and had severe malocclusion. We had his teeth fixed and he was adopted to a wonderful home. Ann has painted two paintings of Snoopy. There are mugs, t-shirts, magnets and more with Snoopy’s portrait.
